Your membership in the Association of Certified Midwives strengthens our organization and helps to further our work to expand and strengthen the CM credential.
Members of ACM have a voice in the work being done to grow the CM credential, stay updated on current issues, and find community.
Membership in the Association of Certified Midwives is open to all members of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, including CMs, CNMs, and students. When joining ACNM for the first time or renewing your ACNM membership, the Association of Certified Midwives can be chosen as your primary affiliate or as an “additional affiliate”.
Membership Support
Our Membership Coordinator is available to answer questions and to assist anyone encountering difficulties with the ACNM membership portal when joining or renewing their ACM membership.
Contact our Membership Coordinator by emailing info@acmidwives.org and type “membership” in the subject line.
ACNM Lifetime members interested in joining ACM should contact our Membership Coordinator directly for assistance.
Become a “Friend of the Association of Certified Midwives"
Individuals who are not members of ACNM but wish to support the Association of Certified Midwives can do so by becoming a “friend” of our organization for $50.

Volunteer With Us
Join us in our work at the Association of Certified Midwives to support CMs and strengthen midwifery in the United States!

Students: student midwives are welcome as volunteers through the organization. Watch our calendar and newsletter for notices of upcoming student meetings dedicated to student issues.

Advocacy: Advocacy committee meetings are announced to the mailing list and on our calendar. Volunteers are welcome! Specific volunteer roles:

Liaisons between ACM and ACNM state affiliates and other organizations

Develop educational and outreach materials

“Ambassadors” to other state affiliate events

host ACM table at events (eg, ACNM annual meeting)
